Description

May I introduce, the troops of the Reptilian Federation Army!
They hail from the Reptilian Federation, courtesy of AlternateHistorian. :iconalternatehistorian:

(From left to right)

Lt. Chelono---  A painted Turtle (voiced by Kristen Stewart).  Other reptiles often poke fun at her for being "slow" or "fat", but she cares little for the opinions of lesser minds.  She never smiles for the camera, but that's how she likes it.  Civic-minded yet focused, she displays a blend of grit, stoicism, independence, and spunk.  Her specialty is self-defense, martial arts, and interrogation.  She hates romance novels, but likes reading science-fiction and thriller novels.  Her childhood memories of summer camp make her feel right at home in military surroundings.  Often, mammals look at her and think she's just a little lady who's only big in her mind.  But that's just what she's expecting.  Her greatest asset is the element of surprise, letting her enemies underestimate her until it's too late.  She may be a turtle, yet she's breathtakingly fast when compared to the average sloth.  Just look at her go, waddling quickly on those two feet!  She's like an ant by comparison!
If you ever catch her rolling helplessly on her back, don't be fooled: she's just doing sit-ups.  Biding her time until you do something stupid..  Like pick her up!
And don't get any wise ideas about touching her mouth.  If you lean in to kiss her, she can and she will give you a new tongue-piercing.  Her favorite deadpan catchphrase: "During this conversation, I could've torn your nose off with my bare mouth, five times over."

Major General Lockjaw--- A milk snake (voiced by Chris Pratt).  He may seem small and cute, but the RFA doesn't make you Major General on account of cuteness.  No, Lockjaw rightfully earned his rank and title through hard work and determination.  He has leadership skills and strategy so frighteningly good, it would scare a drill sergeant out of his boots!  Taking up the ranks by storm, this is the most ambitious little snake who ever did live.  He's a powerful combatant who won't ask you to hold back.  Even without hands to fight with, he can still prove resourceful and unpredictable.  Relentless, tireless, fearless, Lockjaw is a legendary combatant among the RFA, nothing less!  But you wouldn't know that if you were to meet him personally.  Outside his job, Lockjaw is friendly, peaceful and good-humored.  He cares deeply for his soldiers, and is especially close friends with Captain Squamata and Lt. Azule.  (And he has a crush on a female emerald boa in the Air Force).  And who says nice guys finish last?
In his down time, he likes to dance to mesmerizing music on his I-pod.  If you want to "hypnotize" him, play music with good rhythm.

Sergeant Molt--- A frilled lizard (voiced by Paul Giamatti).  It's a real mystery why anyone like him would be allowed in the army.  He's immature, pessimistic, obnoxious, insecure, bully-some, and just plain unpleasant.  He's like some mean special-needs teacher who abuses their position over their helpless students: nothing makes him feel better about himself like picking on somebody weaker than himself.  In fact, he feels satisfaction whenever he can scare anyone with his frills.  One has to wonder WHY he's even in the army.  Bear in mind, the RFA don't care about redeeming qualities, so long as you have qualities to contribute to the army.  Because the only thing worse than a nuisance is a nuisance who is useful.  He's a master of ambush attacks, stealth operations, and an escape artist.  (By escape, I mean retreat).  Believe me, his sixth sense for retreat has saved his troops at least twice from needless casualties.  Oh, and he's a weapons specialist.  He can fire a bazooka or a napalm launcher like it's nobody's business.
The only time he ever gives anyone a moment's peace is when he's picking at his continuously molting skin (a sensation he finds pleasurable).  Feel free to say "ew", ladies and gentleman.

Staff Sergeant Tox---  A black cobra (voiced by Brad Dourif).  If you thought Sergeant Molt was bad, then Staff Sergeant Tox is worse.  Not because he's more annoying, but because he's scary...   A fair warning to the trusting and innocent, there's nothing misunderstood about him.  His attitude is a sinister one, somewhere between a Slasher villain and Scroop.  Heartless and sadistic, his cruelty borders on realistic.  Tox is very unsettling to look at for very long.  Especially since his cold eyes always seem to be staring at you.  Who knows what lurks behind those eyes, in his sick, twisted mind...  The only thing that keeps this psychopath on a leash is his allegiance to the military.  And the only reason he's still a staff sergeant is because his cold temper and compulsive tendencies have denied him a promotion.  But he's still of use to the RFA.  He's an opportunistic combatant, a skilled survivalist, and according to rumors, a potential assassin.  If he was ordered to, he would have no remorse about killing, especially with a set of poisonous fangs at his disposal.  Of course, Tox lives under the threat that if he ever slithers out of line, he'll have to take it up with Major General Lockjaw, the only reptile he fears in the least.  So he bides his time, hoping to catch Lockjaw display insurrection.  He spends his down time napping, slaughtering and cooking fish, and playing darts (with a Zootopia Official's picture).  Does he have any other hobbies?  None you want to know of.  His only vulnerability lies in his heavily guarded medical records.  They contain his "weaknesses", and the last thing he wants is for anyone to know how to take him down.  Even I can't say what they are.

Navy Commander Gila--- A Komodo Dragon (voiced by Michael Chiklis).  He may be in the navy, but he doesn't mind hanging out with these other reptiles time and time again.  His voice always sounds like he has a sore throat, but it's natural for Komodo Dragons to sound guttural.  Like a sailor who loves showing off his tattoos, Gila admires showing off his set of venomous teeth.  But it's not out of intimidation, rather out of personal pride.  He could tell you all sorts of stories of how his fangs have saved his life, everyone of them a true story.  His wife has had her fill of those stories, but she couldn't be prouder to have a 'hero' for a soul mate.
The Commander's favorite meal is fried tarantula (a heaping ton on his plate, to be precise).  But if he had his way, he'd have lobster with Cajun-cashew sauce.  Something to really go crunch in his teeth.  (It gives him the same satisfaction kids get when they listen to their rice crispy cereal go "snap, crackle, pop" in the milk.)
He's endearingly patriotic to his country, the point he'd drop an anvil on his toes just to salute for the Reptilian Federation anthem.  He'd swim through ice water for his country if he had to.  Actually, he got that medal when he jumped into cold water to rescue a drowning navy officer.  If only you had heard Gila's pitiful whimper when he swam through those waters, it would forever haunt you and make your heart bleed.
His favorite activities are playing pool, working out, and taking long romantic walks along the marsh with his wife.

Captain Squamata--- A Nile crocodile (voiced by Vin Diesel).  He's the epitome of everything the RFA stands for.  Strong, fierce, obedient, intimidating, he's one of the RFA's greatest soldiers.  On the surface, he's ten part Riddick, and ten part Shane Wolf (from Disney's "The Pacifier").  An equal, efficient combination of militaristic and violent.  He's a giant among reptiles, but not an ogre.  He can combat anyone and never lose.  Even out of water, he's trained to literally throw his weight around, so he can battle out of water as well as in the water.  His fighting skills almost-but-not-quite outrival Major General Lockjaw, but it's because the Major General outranks him that Squamata fervently respects him.
At first glance, his appearance inspires awe and fear, just the way he likes it.  Because the RFA has an image to maintain; they want to be fear as well as respected.  Not once does the army ever let down its hardened, battle-ready exterior, and neither does he.  He is a monstrous, ruthless military machine who will rip off limbs at a second's notice.  The Captain is the jack-of-all-trades, a survivalist, a drill instructor, a fighter, a liaison, and a stealth tactician.  He does not play favorites and will not go easy on you.  Squamata has an amazing talent for inspiring a legacy of fear, dominance, and honor; and without having to act like a bully.  His appearance and actions alone does that for him.
But deep-deep-deep down, he has a gentle, loyal side to him that has a soft spot for children.  He like fish-loaf, loves his mother, but hates his mother's fish-loaf.  He grows a spice garden to calm his nerves, maintains a healthy diet and workout, and (despite his seeming cynicism towards mammal religions) has an unsaid belief in the afterlife.
His honor is an antiheroic one, where he'll do the right thing if it does not compromise his fealty to the RFA.  ...Or perhaps, he may fight the RFA to protect and preserve what it stands for.  (Believe me, he'd relentlessly wrestle Destroy-mode Baymax bare-clawed if it meant saving Hiro's soul.  And win.)
Integrity is defined as doing the right thing, even if nobody's watching or you won't get attention for it.  And Captain Squamata earned that armband for such an act.

Corporal Mow-Mow--- An Alligator (voiced by Dwayne Johnson).  If it weren't for General Sobek, it would be a mystery how anyone as boastful and thick-headed as Mow-Mow became corporal.  He's arrogant, self-absorbed, and outright full of himself.  But at least he's nicer (and safer) than Sergeant Tox.  And unlike Sergeant Molt, the Corporal makes an effort to be charming (and hygienic).  As a matter of fact, he has physical prowess to match his ego, so it's his right to brag about it.  Some would call him the biggest alligator ever hatched in the history of the Reptilian Federation.  The only thing that ever makes Mow-Mow angry is anything having to do with Captain Squamata.  As mentioned before, they are rivals.  Nothing rattles his cage like when he's pit against a crocodile, especially since his pride has been wounded before.  He lives for the day when he'll finally outrank Squamata and earn his right to brag about it.  Still, they manage to stay professional and keep their rivalry out of business for the sake of their country.
That white badge on his shoulder is the honorary Soul of Crossbones.  You only get this when you've risked your life during a rescue mission, to signify that the Federation's Voodoo deity has marked you as cheater of death.  He earned it during the Sinkholes Disaster of 2011.  Did I forget to mention the Corporal is in the rescue division?  He may be a blow-hard, but he's got the gumption to match his tall tales.
If he's not working out or bragging about his achievements, then he's itching for a wrestling match with any reptile he hasn't fought before.  Or a mammal.

(More updates to come)

This is their flag:

At ease, soldiers!

Enjoy!

I do not own "Zootopia".  It belongs to Disney, Byron Howard and Rich Moore.
I also do not own the Reptile Federation, or their flag.  It belongs to AlternateHistorian.
